The United Kingdom’s Russell Group Universities is similar to the Ivy League in the United States and Australia’s Go8. Only 24 universities, out of more than 100, are a part of this privileged group. The club emphasises the importance of research, therefore it seems logical that all of its members are research titans who routinely publish some of the most prominent and important papers. This is not to say that all other non-member universities are bad; for instance, Cranfield, Bath, and City are non-member universities that provide their students with top-notch academic and research facilities.
